Wanted to give a final report and to thank each and everyone of you who prayed. My brother is doing great, driving and a little bank fishing. Full recovery from his colon cancer. My wife's nephew doing really good. Heart healing and gall bladder surgery almost forgotten. My SIL's nanny doing great, double mastectomy and no expected further treatment. Caught early. My good friend is a walking miracle, tumor removed from his pancreas and no further cancer showing in blood or lymph's. Still weak and very little appetite, but Dr. said it's normal. Happy to say I am taking him to Bass Pro Shop tomorrow for his first out the house trip. He is excited. Prayers work. God answers all prayers. God is Great."D"

Thanking God for answered prayers, D. We have been praying for you and yours, and will continue to pray for no re-occurrences.
I have a nephew with a .22 bullet in his brain. He was shot by a 14-year-old girl, who was a witch/devil worshiper. Two different brain scans showed that he was totally brain dead. He was put on prayer lists all over the country, and I imagine in some foreign countries. After a month, the doctors basically told the family that he could never be anything but a vegetable, so the life support plug was pulled. He didn't die. His heart and lungs started functioning, even though they had never worked when the machines were shut off many times as a test. Another month later, his feeding tube was pulled. He was still alive another month later, but the bones were showing under the skin, his back was arched and rigid, his hands and feet clawed. They pulled the saline that was keeping him from drying out and splitting open. During this entire time, many people continued to pray for him, and were given updates. Nurses and doctors at the hospital were also praying for him. After 4 days without saline, his mother said that she felt him squeeze her finger very slightly when she pushed it into his clawed little finger. The doctor said it was her mind playing tricks on her, and said it would be foolish to hook up the feeding tube again. She told him to hook Jason up or she would sue. He was hooked up, and three weeks later, one of the nurses saw his eyelids twitch. Another nurse came to his bed, and they told him to blink if he could. He blinked. They used a one-blink-means-yes, two-blinks-means-no system to try to communicate with him. He knew who he was. They got the doctor and called the family. People kept on praying. Jason was tested, and it was determined that his brain had fully recovered and his IQ was above average. BUT, they said he could never regain use of his limbs. With the very best possible outcome, he might be able to get 50% range of motion in any one joint. Instead, he regained full use of his left arm, partial use of his right arm, and was able to walk (although extremely painfully) with the use of a walker. He was not able to use the walker effectively, so he got a motorized chair. Eventually, he got married to a girl with severe physical problems herself, they got an apartment and had a son. Several years later she died, and her family took JJ, the son. During all this time, Jason did not apply for welfare, but went to work for Wal-Mart as a graveyard shift checker (in Mesa, Arizona). He rode his chair to work and was struck three times, without damage to anything but his chair. Whenever Jason fell, he could not get up, so the fire department would come to help him. They told a local TV station about him, and they did a special on Jason. He now has JJ with him, but is unable to work any more. His only financial support is his disability Social Security and family help.
As a side note, Jason made a friend while at Wal-Mart. One night, a very large fellow came in and got about $15,000 worth of electronic gear. It was Shaquille O'Neal, who came in every week or so at 2-3 AM, to get $5,000 to $15,000 dollars worth of gear. He would then take it to a school or hospital the next day and give it to kids. Shaq asked Jason one night why he had never asked for an autograph or anything. Jason said he didn't want to bother him. Shaq gave Jason an NBA ball that was autographed by all of the Suns.
Ask anyone in our family, or any of those who prayed for Jason, and we'll tell you that God does indeed perform miracles.
Awesome testimony Bigsky. Thank you.
