Any use for it in tying Crappie jigs? I use it quite a bit with bucktail for saltwater but I don't see it much for freshwater jigs.
It makes a good lateral line on fast moving hair jigs and could work for some slow trolling applications although I might try Kip, buck or synthetic over marabou.
I went a tad overboard on this one:

I have a good bit of the hackle in most colors, but I don't tie it a lot. No real reason not to. I do tie a jig with Chart Color for the tail all by its lonesome. I do like the hackle!

You can use it whatever way you want - most only think of the dry fly hackle in grizzly but they also have hen grizzly hackle which are fatter feathers and they make nice jigs. I'll post a pic of a skin tommorrow.
They also have Saltwater Neck Hackle like that, I have a bunch of it! I also have a ton of the fly tying type hackle as well! So do not think you have to go to yen hackle to have very nice tail tying hackle! Hareline Dubbin has it and I would think most shops that carry their stuff would also have it, but I have not looked! I do know they stopped making it for a while, but now they do have it again!
