    Default waypoint issue

Not sure how to ask this....I have a new 899 I recently downloaded two SD cards with waypoints that I have from different lakes playing with it indoors I cannot pull up but one lake. My question is can this be because it's in simulator mode or is there a problem with the downloads. Thanks

How did you get the waypoints onto the SD Card ... ??

External waypoints should be run thru Humminbird PC to load onto any SD Card ... So that HBPC can create the "folder structure" on the SD Card that the head unit will recognize ...

The first card I installed was from a hb1199 and it was fine could pull up everything from it. The second card was from a lowrance that I had run thru hummingbird pc and converted over. It has several lakes on it and it seemed fine now all it shows is the one lake and I can't change it or find the others.

*Press Menu 1 time to get into the Main Menu System ...
*Cursor over to the NAV tab ...
*Cursor down to Waypoints Routes Tracks ...
*Cursor right to open Waypoint Management ...
*Cursor down to highlight a waypoint name ...

Highlighting each waypoint will show that waypoint in the mini map to the right ...

Are any of your missing waypoints actually there but they just won't show on the regular Chart views ... ??

If the missing waypoints are in the list (but are just now showing in your regular Chart views) ...:

*Highlight the waypoint in the left box ...
*Cursor right to open the waypoint edit window ...
*Check if that waypoint data shows "Visible" ...

Well I tried what you said here. The waypoints come up for the one lake but that's not my issue, I can't get to any of the other lakes that I have loaded or the waypoints from them. I'm starting to think I need to erase everything and start over.

Is it possible the missing Waypoints weren't actually exported from HBPC onto the SD Card ...??

You can check the Waypoints on the SD Card in HBPC to make sure they are on the card ....

    I would first ...:

    *Launch HBPC ...
*Highlight a GPX file in the left column ...
*Click "File" in the upper left ...
    *Choose "Close GPX file" ...

This will close the existing GPX files in HBPC where you can only see the Waypoints transferred from the SD Card for this test ...

(BTW ... "Close GPX file" only closes the GPX file from showing in the HBPC work pane - it does not delete the GPX File ..
The GPX file will still be in the root HBPC folder under (Start/Documents/My Documents/My Humminbird PC/GPX files) ...

Well I'm thinking that too...how likely is it to have erased the others that were on there? Could I have done something to do that and not know it? Thanks again

It's unlikely those Waypoints were erased from the card ...

My guess is they weren't selected in HBPC when you chose to move the Waypoints to the SD Card ...

In HBPC ... Waypoints (or entire GPX files) must be highlighted in blue before you click the arrow under the SD Card icon... to move those selected files to the SD Card ...

It's possible that it didn't pull everything off the card. I kn now it loaded everything on my 688. What I'm not understanding is I had loaded some other lakes onto it from another hb they all showed up fine til I downloaded the lowrance card I converted over. That's what makes me think I've done something. This is all new to me.
