Dropped mine out of the boat a while back, but luckily I was at the ramp so I just got a little wet getting them back. I carry a spare set in the truck just in case.

Here's a tip for keys and water. Get one of those boat key floats and put a truck key on it for fishing trips. Leave you other keys in a safe place. If you drop your truck key in the water it will just float around until you get it. Buddy of mines wife came up with that idea after she had to drive 125 miles with spares keys when his went for a dip.

With the price a dealer charges to make keys it would be cheaper to buy a strong magnet and go get them. If you are like me I have several other keys on my key ring that would be hard to replace. You are good at retrieving things from the deep blue sea I've heard.
