Default Good Day on Chickamauga Lake

Went out yesterday and pulled a few Crappie Reaper planer boards with Jeff Phillips. We ended up with 23 keepers from 11"-14 3/4".

Trolling is for men who can't detect a crappie bite with a rod/reel in hand. Grin. Just Kidding. Don't get offended. I call all trollers cheaters. LOL

I cheat a lot (long line troll) I have used plainer boards with live baits fishing for stripers and hybrids but never crappie. I might give it a try if you would answer a few questions that come to mind. Is the benefit worth the effort. I know it spreads your baits out in a bigger spread but there is some work involved when stripper fishing. Is using the Small boards easier. How many boards do you usually pull. When fishing shallow water do you hang up a lot, break off board and have to run it down? If you would be so kind, educate me a little before I invest in these
