NASCAR uses it, so it oughta hold up to 200 mph. Nice rig pal.

Progress being made with the help of my son and favorite fishing buddy. Mounted the transducers and now realize I need to switch their positions to get the side imaging TD below the one for the Lowrance unit so it doesn't infer with SIimage. Glad I add the mounting plate as it will make an easy fix.
I ended up using the RAM mount on the console unit. All worked out well here and the unit is down low enough so I don't have a big blind spot. Power was run from cranking battery with 12guage twisted pair to a new fuze box under the console for just the two units. I did put an inline fuze coming off the battery plus each unit has a 3A in the box as recommended by HB for each unit. The console unit plugs into the fuse box with the original power cord and I ran a 16 gauge twisted part to where the front unit will be.
Mounted the rod holder bases on the back deck. I also have a set of 2 rod holders that I can use back here as well. We love to catfish in the summer so this will come in handy.
Waiting on finalizing the layout for the front. I have a piece of plywood with the Spyderlok bases mounted and want time on the water to confirm they are where they need to be. I can easily move them while out there to get them exactly where I want them. Also waiting on the TM transducer exchange. I got an awesome FF mount from Corn Field Crappie gear that will hold the DI unit up front but am waiting until I get the rod holders set before drilling holes. I can't wait to get on the water, hopefully this weekend. I may have went a little overboard with the CDC stickers. Thanks to all you guys for the help in setting up the boat. Many more questions to come.![]()
Ok buddy I have a stinger 175 I mounted my spyderloks as you had in the first pic as close to the gunnels as I could. My terrova clears going in or out. It rubs but clears. Also I mounted rod holders in the rear They are solid no movement at all. Up front you will have some movement as you are dealing with more than one sheet of aluminum. I would recommend adding more material to your transducer mount The further from the back of the boat you get it the better clearer picture you will get. As for the front you have access I don't if you can add 1/2 inch aluminum plate under your deck for Rod holder support you will have them rock solid. I mounted my console ff as you have , I used 1/2 treated plywood under the dash with a ample amount of liquid nail, I just snugged it down and 2 days later torqued it good. It is solid I can shake the whole rig and trailer from the mount. No vibration while zipping down the lake. Love your boat buddy all I own are Lowes had 4 own 2 now Happy fishing

Spent about 5 hours on the water, Lake of the Ozarks, mainly running the big motor and playing with the FFs. We didn't see many large concentrations of fish but did see lots of bait balls. We did try rigging for about an hour to confirm the rod holder locations were good up in the front but never caught a fish. That's ok because we still had a great time. Wind was pushing us around. Looking forward to getting out again this weekend.
I must have a fitting that leaks because we had about five gallons of water in the boat. There are only 3 fittings below the waterline so it should be one of them or a hose connection up one of the lines.
