Congrats Windjinx, Those are both pigs for the NWR, I missed the bash, went to the waterfowl festival in eastern NC. Tough conditions and you sure pulled it out.

Seven folks did show up to fish. I had the winning weights for both the Crappie and the yellow perch. The crappie went 1.31 lbs and the yellow perch was 1.14 lbs. Both released. I caught the crappie casting a jig and the yellow perch came rigging a jig and minnow. All fish where caught on the Virginia side. For me the yellows were harder to find then normal. So, I don't think that they have made the big push yet. Water temp. was 43-44 degrees. Dean has a pic. of the winning fish. Bill - thanks for making the 90 mile drive, it was a pleasure to met and talk with you.

I'll probably have time tonight for a report with pics. Great Job, Windjinx! For all that backed out--the weather and fishing was much worse last year. This year was great weather with a strong bite.

Congrats to all that fished. That calm wind must have been nice. Flags never moved up here. You lucky dogs.
Congratulations on the win ! Hope someone posts some pictures. I would liked to come but 4 hours one way and my new boat was not set up for rod holders yet, just got my spare tire today.
