    Default Lake cocodrie

With the rivers still up I'm looking for a new hole. Anybody fish cocodrie south of Alex? I'm about 45 minutes from the lake and wanted to give it a try. Any tips or really any info on the lake would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, I hope you get some info. I actually tried to find the lake one time and could not find it. Did not know who to ask. Talked to a couple people around those parts and they had no idea either.

Exit I49 at the Meeker/Turkey Creek exit, head south for 4 miles, turn right on Onyx road, turn right on Johnsons or Clarks landing road, both have pay launches at the end of them. It is a cypress/tupelo swamp with a channel about 60-100 yards wide down the middle. I catch many white perch there in the spring after the rest of the local lakes spawn out. It is spring fed so it takes longer to warm up than the other local lakes.
