    Default Lake Murray 2/6/16

Hit the water this morning until about noon. It was a chilly start to say the least. Thankfully, I was dressed for the occasion. Method of choice today was tightlining minnows and jigs. Started out slow and never really changed. I stayed in the same creek all morning because the bite was consistent.

I picked up a fish here and there and brought home a nice mess of 8 crappie, 2 striper, and a jumbo perch. Big crappie was 1.92 lb Fish were 12 foot down in about 17 FOW. Water temp was 52 and it was muddy.

It was a great morning to be on the water with very little wind.

Thanks for the report Derek. I was wondering what I missed on the water today. I opted to go rabbit hunting this morning instead of fishing. We ended up with 5 rabbits for the day as we stopped hunting around 11:30.

I guess I should have gone. I debated about it all day yesterday and I can kick myself now. Glad you went and caught a good mess of fish. You had a good day for it. Did you see many people out today? Thanks for the report and pics.

There were several boats where I was. 2-3 striper boats, a bass fisherman, and 3 crappie fishermen including myself

Glad you got out Derek and found some biting fish. Thanks for sharing. I went back to Greenwood and only caught 1 crappie 2 perch and 1 striper. Last trip to Greenwood for a while. Hearing Clark Hill is on fire.

Glad to hear they are biting Derek. Maybe I can put together a fish and lunch like we did a couple of months ago.
