    Default Fort Loudoun

We took a trip to Ft Loudoun Sunday to try to learn a bit more about Spider Rigging. I learned a lot and to shorten the learning curve of others, I am going to share my findings.
    1) A 5 pound bass on a long Rod can very effectively tangle all lines out!
    2) Gale force winds make boat control interesting!
    3) An idiot (me) operating a copilot in said wind only intensifies said wind effects!

But seriously, it really seems we caught bigger crappie during the short time we used the technique. Another thing that I noticed was that we caught black crappie 3-1. I am not aware of that happening before.?

Thanks for the post. Takes a bit to get the hang of the copilot, especially in the wind - I still end up in circles once in a while. As to the bass, the worst is to get in a whole mess of stripe. They're fun to catch, but they seem to make a point of crossing every line you have out. Glad you had a good time, though.
