    The worst spot on a mono line is a knot.
    I think it was P line, 10# that I was tying rigs with. If it was dry I would tie a knot and it would break. Wet a towel and run the line through it a few times and get the rigs tied.
    The rigs were stored on plas-card in baggies. I had to dip them in the lake before removing them.

    Never have a problem with the loop breaking. Most breaks come at the knot, and a three way has more knots.

    I wet all my knots before cinching them down, and don't have many issues with them. The knot is the weak link tho.
