Default I just had to go.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been able to go to the swamp, the place has been flooded so long and family matters, and it’s still a mess. But I think we all know how it is when we get that itch. So Steve, Bobby and I headed out early Friday morning to look around a see if Broadwater was still there. It was and still out of the banks but if it keeps dropping that maybe by next week it’ll at lease be back in the banks. The water is still moving and muddy. Our camp place was just above the water and a mess where water had been flowing over the ground for days on end. But it was a good day out and spent with friends. Here are a few pictures of the trip.

By the way, back awhile, Mr. Cromer made a comment about using a "Swedish Torch" campfire using one log that will burn for hours. I ran across this link to making one and when I saw him back in the swamp I thought I would share it here. I had never heard of one until he mentioned it.

That's pretty cool! I can see how it works, but I never would have thought of it.

That is a beautiful place. So glad you and Friends were able to get in there and have some fun. Did you get to do any fishing, didn't see anything in the post about fishing just camping. Hope to get in there one day.
