1199, 1197 does it make that much difference?? both nearly the same unit

I currently run an 1197 side and down imaging at the console with the transducer on back of boat. Up front run the 798 DI humminbird with the Minnkota Terrova with ipilot. My intentions were to mount the 1199 upfront for better DI/SI when spider rigging.
I mostly spider rig and shoot docks on LAke of the Ozarks in the winter, spring, and fall. Troll crankbaits all summer.
I want all of your expert opinions....Should I mount the 1199 up front and keep the 1197 at console or vice versa? Also mounts, cables, etc that I should use or things I should look for.
Thanks in advance

If it were me, I'd put the new unit up front with a solid mount for transducer....NOT on TM. I think I might keep the 798 up front, as well because the picture quality is better for DI.

There is distinct advantage in having a second unit to run full screen mapping ...
This eliminates the need to notice where that "green arrow" is pointing in split Combo views with mapping ...when needing to make adjustments to the Chart view ...

The brightness on the 1199 would be a little better than the 1197, so it would probably be better for you at the bow. I'd keep the 798 for mapping, even though it will be slower than the 1199 it has very good visibility also.
