    What kind of unit do you have and what kind of boat is it going on? A little short on time, with clean up from duck season and a couple of boat projects going myself, but, I may could offer a suggestion or 2.

    I think he's looking at a portable installation for an Elite 4 dsi. I've pm'd a couple links that Gomer Snerd had posted about his installation. Biggest thing will be getting the transducer to be portable. An old trolling motor mount and shaft would probably work out pretty good for a quick clamp on solution. Other than that, a couple clips for the battery, and an inline fuse for power and he will be set.

    There is a portable transducer mount sold at Bass Pro. I've got one installed on the transom of my boat. It works great!!
