Started with 500 a year and a half ago and these worms are doing great. I have to start using more of them and was wondering had anyone tied using them for tipping jigs while crappie fishing. I do plan to, just want to know if others have used them for crappie.
A few pics, the tray is where I put the Pupa stage and remove them to an adult (beetle ) drawer.

I've got to check mine today.
Looking for them online I could get 2,000 for a couple dollars more than 500.
I started with 2 large plastic totes. I found them getting in the way to many times. I went with the sweater size containers. I move the feed back so I can lay a slice of bread on the plastic floor. I put a few drops of water on the bread.

I lost mine after several years need to order some..Cane, where did you find same. BTW, they love a potato for moisture as well
Looks like your doing very well with the mealworms.I used to separate each stage, but never noticed a huge benefit,so now I use a larger tote, and leave each stage together. Each spring I dump and refresh everything, ( clean out castings and sheds )then it's back to the dark room.
Kept some for about 5 years..fill a 5 gallon bucket about 3/4 full of wheat bran, and cut a potato in half...hang from rafters out of the way...just don't. SPRAY the shop for wasps !!!

I looked at all the ads on ebay and amazon. I found one that was cheap, figure a misprint, but they were shipped.
Don't buy super worms, they won't reproduce.
I have picked up a couple of 5 gal buckets I plan to move them to. I don't see how you could ever use all the worms!
