April will be good, I sent you a pm. Best bet is to be flexible some too, one lake may be doing better than another. We have 4 flood control lakes very close to each other.

I am trying to plan a trip in April to crappie fish on either Sardis or Grenada and would appreciate any help as to where to stay and a guide to use. Also is the span over by then? I will be coming from Ohio so not really acquainted with weather that time of year in Mississippi. What time of the year is the best crappie fishing in either of these lakes? Thanks.

If you stay somewhere around Sardis or Enid (Batesville or cabins at either lake) you will be within about an hour of any of the Big 4. They can all produce well in April. Like Rees says, be flexible! Sometimes in the Spring, the winds can blow you off one lake but there may be areas to safely fish at the others.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!
They're telling you right.
All the fish will be caught by April.![]()
