oh i most definitely cut the line but i wasn't about to through that much line overboard. ive dug enough that out of my own trolling motor plus i salvaged my hooks and weights. i just didn't feel like re-rigging all that at the moment so i just went jig dipp'n. it worked i'm not complaining that will happen again at some point.
