    Default Marine Engineers ???

Has anyone ever heard of this company? They have a website that is advertizing brand new , never used, 115 HP 2013 model Evinrude Etec Motors with controls and props for $5999.00. I emailed them and they said shipping to my residence would be $500.00 They are from overseas. My concern is that I think to get the warranty , the motor has to be installed by an authorized Evinrude dealer- even though they said it has a 3 year warranty from the day it is shipped, THat is a really good deal if it is leagite.

Anybody got any thoughts on this?

Big River , what do you think?? Is this a "too good to be true deal" ??

You can google their website and see that they have a bunch of motors of all makes listed........

Yep, That is why I'm looking for input.. My Mama always said the same thing "too good to be true, probably is" Just would be a great deal if someone could verify that they have purchased from them.., Thnx for the input....... I guess I'll just keep pluggin along with my old 2000 model 115 hp Johnson.. It smokes like a freight train but always cranks and runs !!! I run my trolling motor a lot more than the big motor anyway.

I would ask for a few names of customers in Arkansas. If they won't then I would be hands off on that deal . Who pays the tariffs on imports if any ?

Even if it's legit if anything goes wrong more than likely you will be completely on your own. Most of what I buy ,I buy from people...I know them....they know me...

I got a 95 Johnson 115 I'm running. Smokes pretty good too some of the time. As long as you never really damage the block or something it's worth fixing. I have no idea how many hours I have on mine...but it's a lot....besides two fuel pumps just minor stuff.

Check your compression.... If its good you may be having a problem with your oiler if you have the fuel pump oil combo on a carb engine. A mechanic that's good with that motor if its carb could rebuild that and it would still be a good motor, even if it turns out it really needs it.

I'm just a poor boy trying to stay on the water. I get the bug all the time when them boys crank them quiet awesome looking engines on those new shiny boats. But for now I gotta keep fishing my old stuff. I'm just proud it's all working (for now and as far as I know LOL)
