    Default Dark tails for cloudy day


    Since its mostly cloudy today i'm gonna put on a few darker colored curly tails and see how it goes. Kept 8 yesterday over 12" biggest one 1.6 lbs. threw back 6 that were 10"-11 1/2" so the other guys could have some!! Please reply with advice.

    8 keepers sounds good to me, Where were you fishing, what lake?

    Fished near Lakeland yesterday and only had 8 keepers that wern't as big as yours. You done good!!

    My thought is that numbers aren't as important as just putting fish in the boat consistently. Look at the other boats and if they're landing fish and you aren't then you need to change your game til you are. Upsize or downsize, color, flash, depth, speed. Work on building your bag of tricks and the fish will come. Patience Grasshopper.

    I'm fishing lake talquin. yesterday i only caught 2 over 12" . dark colors bright colors deep shallow ,nothing was working .there is a storm coming through this am so maybe i'll try when it clears up. any thoughts on whether they bite after a storm passes through?

    I totally agree! One fish every 15 minutes is a great pace. I havent been lucky enough to get 2 or 3 on at once and thats ok because i would probably end up with a big mess
