    Default Changing rod color?

With my vision I can see white colors best. Dark colors are hard for me to see. I really noticed how much difference white made while cat fishing with white rods. I now have the 14ft Southern pro rods which put the tips even further away. I bought white ribbon to tie along the tip section. But haven't got to try it yet. Question is do you think painting the tip section would affect it by making it to stiff and break easier? I seen this today about Ozark coming out with a new Series rod which is a lighter color. But I think it's a jigging rod. I love my southern pro rods and would hate to change anyway. Any ideas on changing the color without hurting the rod?Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1453593929.643189.jpg

I painted 18 inches of the tips on my BnM's......It does not hurt the rod or the action....I lightly rubbed the rod part I wanted to paint with fine steel wool then painted with Krylon spray paint....two coats.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I did the same thing with some of my B&Ms a few years back but used fluorescent hot pink on mine.

I paint all my rod tips about 18 inches as well but I use Flat white spray paint it shows up the best in all light conditions !!! IMO !!!

I don't understand why someone has not come out with a florescent tip, just the tip. I don't watch the rest of the pole myself, just the tips but most of the time the line.

Glad to hear it's been done without hurting the rod. Thanks!

Grizzly should have them for most rods..I usually get them to swap my tips out when I buy the rods
