Might not use the actual name brand but nearly always use the design.

On some days they are just about unfair. With the right body and head size and a nibble there are days they should be illegal. I use to use 1/16 oz mostly, started trying the 1/32 oz a few years ago and have caught three or four of the biggest crappie I have ever caught on them. Catch big fish of other species on them too sometimes. Redear and bluegill....

    Casting.

Fishing primarily over grass beds. But not exclusively. Catch them in open water too and any type of structure or just flats and points and banks where fish are.

Use them to fish for bedded fish by swimming them right into the bed or fishing them as close to the bottom as I can over beds. Chartreuse skirt, purple flake body southern pro tube is one of my favorite, never throw it without a chartreuse chromaglow nibble on it. Spinner has to spin, make sure its spinning on the fall. Caught lots of big bass on them too. Lose a lot of big fish just because the hook is so small. Use different bodies and also white heads.Never know what combination may work on any given day or place.

Think it has something to do with the slower sink rate and the wake signature the blade makes. The more subtle smaller blade just works sometimes. I use unpainted ones too that I buy in bulk. They are a more narrow profile and fall even slower, but their is a difference in the way they run and I catch more on the actual roadrunner brand, but they are expensive.
