With a spinning reel it makes for a killer long lining outfit also. Dual purpose that way. I've been using the Depth Hunter line for quite awhile now. I do use it with a line counter for pulling cranks, but I also push with it and power troll with it on a regular bait caster. I also use it on a set of spinning reels for long longing.

I've only long lined a few times, but had decent results when I did. It's a great way to locate fish and that's what we did at a C.C fruit jar tourney at Butla one time. We wound up pushing minners in the same area we found the fish the next day and finished a close second. The fish were in a small area so we figured we could stay on them longer spider rigging instead of long lining for the tourney. We knew they were there by locating the spot long lining.
