Up date, both knees up for replacement, left first, right next in two stages for the right they have to take out A BUNCH of screws and plates then let that heal then do the right knee replacement,,, looking at the end of march before I can get in for surgery, I think the va is going to out source the surgery, Mercy does a lot for the Vets and this dr. does a lot of veterans, so hope it all goes well, total time for both replacements and the prep on the right knee is 6 mo. long drawn out affair. but i bet worth it in the end.

My Gpa had his both done, within 1 year you couldn't tell they had been replaced by watching him . He always wondered why he waited so long. I bet you'll really enjoy them once it's over.

Have several friends that have had knee replacements and all say the same thing, wish I would have done this sooner. Glad to hear they are gonna get you fixed up.

For the first six weeks after surgery, take your pain meds right on time and work extra hard on your physical therapy. Get as much motion back in your knee and don't worry about strength at first.

Good for you Beagle. I have a couple of buddies that have had the replacements done and they say, the procedure does wonders for the pain and mobility. Those Stockton fish are really in trouble now.
