I've had multiple guys tell me to begin a fishing log/journal and document the misc. variables and results from each outing. I "wish" I had stayed on top of this, but unfortunately I have not. What I "think", since I have not documented it enough to "know" for certain is this: Moon phases and moon positioning seem to have the greatest affect on "what time of day/night the fish will be most active". With that being said, if I can coordinate my time on the water to be during the time that the moon is directly underfoot, that's when I'd prefer to be on the water.
