Hey y'all. I'm new to the site and thought I would introduce myself. I've been crappie fishing for about 5 years now and Taylorsville Lake is my home lake. We have a 97 Ranger set up for spider rigging with double seats up front and rod holders, both from Cumberland Crappie. All electronics are Lowrance with a Point-1 antenna. We love to cast jigs and single pole drop shot as well. We also take an annual spring trip to Ky Lake and fish the central part of the lake from Malcolm Creek down to the Kenlake area, with occasional trips to Green, Cave Run, Cedar Creek, and Barren.
I fish Taylorsville Lake at least twice or three times a month and really think it is underrated as a crappie fishery. The size may not be like other lakes but considering the pressure it sees, we have done very well there. I know there is another thread dedicated to tville and I will be posting results from our trips on there regularly.
I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with y'all and hope to be a productive member of the site.
God Bless.

Good to have you aboard, Bubba !! Looking forward to hearing about your Taylorsville & other lake trips.
May see ya out on T-ville ... and keep your eye out for the threads about our upcoming Spring Fling @ Green this coming April.
Just remember to keep your specific locations to yourself, in your reports AND in your "on the water" pictures. No need to give the internet trollers any specifics on where you're catching your fish. I suggest using the sky or bottom of the boat as a background for any "on the water pictures" .... otherwise you may need to take a number the next time you try to fish that spot
Temps, baits used, methods used, numbers/sizes caught, & types of cover fished are all things that can be reported .... but, I'd identify only a general "area" of the lake, if I even bothered to put that info in the report.
I agree that T-ville is "underrated" ... now that the size of the fish has increased to where a limit of 15fish is worthy of bragging about. Having fished the lake since it opened, I think the lake is a much better Crappie lake "now" than it has been for decades. I hope to see it continue as such.

Bubba, I don't have a clue about posting pics from a cell phone. About all I can tell you is that there's apps like Tapatalk that some use, and you do want your pics to be taken in "landscape" mode ... either from a setting on the phone or by holding the phone sideways when taking the pic, otherwise there's a possibility that the pics will appear "sideways" when posted. I do believe, also, that mobile apps like Tapatalk use the "paper clip" icon for posting pics as attachments.
Hopefully someone else on here is using a "droid" and can suggest an app that works for them. I do know that there's been some discussion on Tapatalk updates that have made picture posting a little problematic. If you do a search (Advanced Search ... top right of the page, in the main banner) you'll get about 4 pages of threads on issues using it. But, notice the dates of the postings ... as some of those from last year seem to indicate that the app has made some changes or improvements.
Wish I could help you more, but I have over $100 invested in my digital camera and use my computer files and my Photobucket account to hold my pictures ... so I won't be using my phone for posting pics, anytime soon
