    Default Sandy river reservoir

I've been out about 4 times this winter on sandy river and have been skunked everytime on this place. I can't seem to find where the crappie are holding on this lake. There doesn't seem to be a lot of structure beyond 10-15 ft deep. I did find a decent size weed line out deep that could possibly be holding crappie. Any advice, or any help from someone familiar with this lake would be greatly appreciated.

What have you tried. I have not fished there in about a year but always did good fishing off the points in 15+ fow tightlinging or slow trolling, usually jigs tipped with minnows. Usually did best on points fishing the side where the boat ramp is located. Some of the better points or 30 minutes or so from the landing just using my troller motor. Let me know what you have tried and may be able to pont you in the right direction. Lots of 9 to 10 inch fish, but not too many big girls.

Well I've pretty much been vertical jigging what little structure I can find. I haven't tried live bait yet. Ive also slow trolled the main channel. I've hit the bridge of course and just on the other side all mainly in 20 fow. I haven't been focusing on the points I've mainly spent my time searching for brush piles which I discovered there isn't many out in the deeper water. This is my first year winter fishing and I think I just am haveing problems on where to look for them.

The weed line I found looks pretty promising but I haven't fished it yet, I think I'm going to hit that next time out and if I don't get anything there I'm going to work around the points. I know there in there I just gotta find em.
