Default How much do you think this boat is worth?

I been watching this boat, Im wondering what you think a fair price for it should be.

1997 Tracker Pro Angler Deep V hull with 40 HP merc. This boat will be hard to part with! I am the original and only owner of this boat and i have properly maintained and upgraded this boat throughout the years. The trailer is brand new and the interior has all new wood and carpet! The deep V hull is extremely strong which gives a smooth, dry ride. The motor starts everytime...plugs changed every year. Includes new bimini top, 4 chairs, working trolling motor, working live well, 2 batteries, electric start, quality boat cover, custom rod storage, fire extinguisher, throwable floatation device, 3 life jackets, anchor, running lights, wooden oar, fishing net, depth finder, transom saver, etc... This boat has everything you need to go on the water.Name: 00101_bGruzEjyA9M_600x450.jpg

Check out the Kelly Blue book website and get some idea what your buyers are going to see.

If I saw that locally I would expect it to be priced at $4500 but someone who is really attached to it might price it at $5500. $3700 and i would buy it without thinking.

Do a market search of that boat in several locations. See what people are asking for their boat and compare their condition to yours. I think Zippy is spot on for his prices (at least for my area).

The motor looks like a Johnson/Evinrude to me

If that is a Mercury it's from when they put their name on Force motors and there's no parts for them anymore. The Johnsons from that time frame are also out of production but parts are more available. Nice looking boat otherwise.

Force motors were built by Mercury till 1999, that's their last year of production. It's possible that the motor is a Force with Tracker branding. The lower section sure looks like a Merc. I'd ask if the motor is oil injection or if you have to premix. Mercury motors had oil injection, Force were premix. If it's a Force motor, it would certainly lower the value of the package.

It looks like a Force to me. If it is then I would use that as a bargaining chip to get the cost down. Force motors aren't necessarily bad but they were made to be the cheaper and thus had less quality control, less refined machining of the powerhead, cheaper ignition parts, etc.
