    man is that nice skipper ....KABOOM
    got me some of them 1/32 walleye heads in a number 6 i do .....
    i put 3 d eyes on em as well .....
    i run plastics on them though .....
    sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales

    Don't be shy when it comes to the small hooks. I have landed fish over 2lb on a #6 sickle. The sharper hooks buried in the roof not the papery edges of the mouth. Those will do fine with a #8 sickle. Bugman had some he got from me on a trade, don't know if he still has them.

    Yes I know a guide here that uses 1/8 oz with a #8 hook, says since he furnished the jigs if he uses these his clients loose less jigs. He catches fish so I know it works. Just nut use to it yet, but I guess since Roadrunners use a regular bend #6 hook on their 1/32 and I use then a lot, it should be fine! After all the #6 regular bend has the same gap between the point and shank as a #8 sickle.

    Also don't really fear the hook not holding well if in the right spot, but also know a big ol crappie can come off, LOL!

    That looks really nice. I fish a 1/32nd most of the time and is my favorite size jig to tie.
