Default has anyone fished lake placid?

was thinking of trying a differant lake. just for the fun of it. looking at it on navtronics, it is deep 45-50 ft not the norm fl lake. maybe spring feed? have been by it a few times, water looks clearer. just checking to see if it is worth a try or wast of time.

June i have been told is excellan lake in the area. Istapoka is ok, has lots and
lots of hydrillia. Big Bass, nice eater type spec's, can get a little "hairy" up at
North end when wind comes up.........Yea-ya -.. This is a shallow lake.
A call to Henderson fish camp - might save you a drive - they have good clean
cottages also avial for overnight fishing .

Florida Crappie Club will be comming to the "Big O", February 27th or
you could come north to Lake Tarpon - North East to Crooked Lake, Arbuckle,
Walk-in-Water, Buffum. Roaslie, Hatchinaw, or Kissimmee.
These are all within reasonable driving distance (2 hrs or less)
We do 20 tournaments a year on all kinds of water............That will give you a
learning experience, challenge, insight you competitive jucies.
