No, I don't think so. The locations are more than adequate for warmer/cooler water fishing.
Myself and the other anglers I talk with have found poor fishing for crappie near Christmas trees. I have caught some fish in the vicinity of them but I think that's due to the weedline down there and balls of baitfish.
