    Can order them on line from BPS, called a Hook Guard and have been around for probably 15 years or more. Found it best to push the hook point all the way through the guard to make a pilot hole and then pull the hook point back into the material, get better ratio of hook ups that way.

    Them grubs on the right could be one of several different brands. Southern Pro, WOW/Atta Grubs and several others make them. Here is a link to the Southern Pro baits at Everhart's. They come in a 50 pk.

    I have gone to weedless jigs heads almost exclusively, especially when casting over brush. I've gone multiple trips in a row without losing a jig and don't notice any less bites probably because I'm rarely hung up. I don't paint my heads but yours look good.
