    Default battery question.....

I don't spider rig or pull cranks, but I do need a new cranking battery and deep cycle battery for my boat. What would be your recommendations?
    Thanks
    Thinking bout some interstates.......

I have been using the Batteries from Walmart last few years. Haven't had any problems. Usually a little better pricing and little better warranty, plus your not going to be far from a walmart anywhere you go. Plus if it's warranty they are the only place open at night or weekends for service.

Exide. Academy sports has the best price. Have had both and the exides are more value for the price. Interstates have been good just too pricey for me. Be sure to look for the actual date battery assembled on the case. That seems to make big difference

Get a good marine battery with all the CCA you can find. Most motor mfgers recomend a battery with 800-1000 CCA. jmo.

I opted for the Trojan golf cart batteries. They were a little more than Walmarts but I can troll all day without any issues. I use Walmart for all my other batteries though

Good choice. There is a good reason they are more than wal mart batteries.
