Default tilt trim problem 87 evinrude

Did some winter fishing sunday putting boat in tilt was lowering when about half way down it just stopped. Tried all switches no luck after about 5 minutes it started working fine. Worked fine all day then when draining water from motor at the end of the day on the ramp it did the same thing in about the same spot. Any ideas on what could be happening? Do I have a motor shorting out if so can you get new ones?

If you have a meter, first thing to do when it does that is unplug wiring harness and check your getting power. If not then back track from there to relays and switches. If getting power I suspect you have dirty spot where brushes make contact. Might have to pull motor and clean armature and brushes.
