I decided to try my luck in the flood fishing the area near Ingalls Harbor in Decatur. The water was high and very muddy. This is the first time in a long time, not a single Crappie. I did catch a few cats, several bass and two dozen gills but couldn't buy a Crappie bite. Anyone looking to make a trip on Lake Wheeler be very carful, I saw several full trees over 30 feet long floating down the river.

Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
I live over by Lucy's Branch and I can attest to the muddy water. There are actually several boats out today, looking for "loot" if I had to guess...... Wheeler will be dangerous for the next couple weeks, be careful folks!
Water is messed up everywhere in AL.

Hey Ditch now is the time for you to hit the ponds at ditto landing as they are now apart of the Tenneessee river since it now covers the whole area roads and all so the city of Huntsville would have to show me where it starts and stops now HA (grin)
