    Can anyone recommend what rods and line counter reels to use for trolling for crappie ?

    Depends on what trolling method....pulling or pushing crankbaits....or spider rigging jigs and or minnows....or long lineing jigs

    Your going to hear a lot of different answers but this is what I have been pulling crankbaits with for past 8 years. BnM Pro Troller ( PST) rods......and Okuma MagnaPro 15 line counter reels.
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    Thanks for the info I like the okuma mags. I have them on my boat in mi but they are (30) series for salmon did not know they made a 15 .

    Thanks again I,ll check them out how long on the rod do use different lengths for outside and inside rods.

    Yes use different lengths.....I use 14 ft. 12 ft. 10 ft. and 8 ft.

    i recommend the same as G but i use 4ft 10in,8ft,12ft,16ft rods on each side

    4 foot difference in rods length sure makes a big difference. I run 18, 14, 10, and a 6 footer. If you aren't in a 20 foot rig the 18s can be a pain tho.
