Thread: Norman 12-22 incidental report

so I took my boat to my fiances parents dock today to prep it for the docking of my boat here soon. Nailed some bumpers to a few poles, replaced some ropes, ect ect, plus her dad needed my help very briefly for something. all said and done, only took 40 minutes. First time in my life have i ever needed GPS to navigate during the day. visibility was less than 50 yards. mannnn.

An old wise man once told me that i should never be on the water without a rod handy even if i dont plan to fish....so i brought 4 just in case

So the incidental part....As i concluded the work and sipped coffee before jumping in the boat, i heard the gulls raising hell nearby. Idled over, and as luck would have it, a monster school of fish boiling all around in the cove. I'll be damned. 1.5 hrs later and approx 20 hybrids and 5 spots later i left them biting due to all the errands i had to run before i leave for my 5 day work trip in the morning. It was hard to do!!

a few of the hybrids were pushing 22 inches, and all fish released to be caught another day.
