    Question Name the Lake

for me and my fishing buddy to hit Sunday and Monday. My wife is going to be having a serious surgery coming up and she gave me a reward and released me to go those two days knowing that I am going to having nurse duties soon. I know it supposed to rain hard around Wednesday but hoping it would be okay by then. The three in play is Greenwood, Clarks Hill, or Russell. Open to suggestions. Thanks to all and have a Merry CHRISTmas

    Default Name the Lake

Will you be tightlining or trolling? I have a feeling greenwood will be muddy at the forks and on down after the rain. I have never fished Russell so I say the hill. There are several creeks that will take longer to get muddy than the rest.

The Hill is my vote as well. Or Russell. Greenwood will be muddy after this rain.

Having fished all three lakes a lot if I had my choice I would go to the Hill. You should be able to find some bait to pull jigs and or jigs/minnows through and you have a good chance to find some crappie holding in some of the brush piles. Good luck and Prayers for your wife to have an easy time recovering after the surgery. Let us know how you do.

With the rain we're getting today, and what Greenwood already looks like I was there friday. I'd say the hill but Russell has a lot of good fish in it too and I"ve never seen it mud up. I'd bet you get a couple PM's to help with your decision But I know Greenwood is gonna be muddy.

Lots of rain falling once again. Russell will have some good looking water regardless but I've caught way more spotted bass and perch there lately than crappie. The upper end of the Hill had gotten just about right, and a few good reports were filtering in on crappie, but if we get loads of rain, who knows? I believe you will catch some fish tightlining minnows on either lake, and I look forward to your reports!

Having not fished in several months now I'd probably hit Beaverdam Creek on lake Russell first and if I didnt catch fish by the time I made it to within sight of the powerline (probably where I'd go to start fishing anyway....or just in front of the trash line) then I'd load back up and head for the Hill. On the Hill I'd check Pistol Creek landing to look at the water. As long as it wasnt full and trash and real muddy (a good stain is alright but mud swirled in the water isnt) I'd unload. If unfishable then my next stop would be Fishing Creek and once unloaded I'd head towards the powerline. But.......like I said.......that's after NOT fishing for seveeral months so I'm merely guessing.
