Will csuse these fish to spawn in Jan. If we dont get colder weather. The fish we are catching are getting close to laying eggs. They are already starting to stage up in shallow water.
The coldest weather we have had is 35 degrees for one night. Im scared this will mess up the eggs they will lay.

Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
About 1/4 of the fish we caught this weekend had eggs. They were also on top of a 10' dropoff and the hotter it got Saturday the closer to the bank they got.
I've fished 4 times in the last two weeks. Odd for me. I fish a river system and you have to go when river is right. Or close to right. So the stars aligned with family and work for those four trips.
I caught good on all trips.
The trip of the trips was the amount of white sacs I was catching so shallow. Granted pressure was nutty low on two of those days. But during spawn time which can be early here, the whites usually show up first. Not the pre spawn feeding frenzy types. The gumming and moving type. Regardless of that, they all were egg 'd up. Not much color change though.
What does that mean?
Ehhh……imma just go catch when I can. Too much other importantcies to address.
BB, haven't forgot you.
OH, deer swam passt me Sun morn.
It was g'luck!!

No need to worry, Sacs are prolific spawners

That's neat Adam. Had a deer cross in front of me a few weeks ago in the back of one of the Tchfuncate river oxbows.Must have been 10 years ago at Bayou Korn I listened to dogs running a deer for a good twenty minutes. The deer crossed the canal right in front of me, 10 minutes in front of the dogs.
