Maybe somebody down there needs to open a white perch fertilizer place. Commercial fish for them and turn them into fertilizer. Although I like eating them as much as crappie. This would help control the population.

After yesterday's fantastic outing I couldn't bear the thought of letting them pesky perch get off the hook on a good cold morning like we had today. My brother in law met me at Dreher Island at 7:30 and off we went! A short boat ride and we were back in the action we left yesterday. Went through about 5 dozen minnows and had a nice looking cooler when we reeled lines in at 9:15 AM. Don't have a count yet but id imagine we had 40 or more in the cooler when we quit. Brother in law got the cleaning duties today! It was non stop action the whole time. Would have stayed with them a little longer but had promised the better half we'd go to church this morning.
Water temp was 56 and minnows were the bait of choice. Never picked up a bumping spoon. Just went straight to work with meat on the hook.

Way to go Derrick!! Glad y'all got another good mess of them. I just wish I had a good partner like yours taking turns cleaning fish! My buddy always has some lame excuse. lol! Last weekend he caught 2 nice cats and I had to take them both off the hook because when he was a kid he got finned by one and never got over it. lol!! I would go this afternoon but the wife has me doing errands with her! Thanks for the report and pic. Enjoy your vacation.
Another morning of cleaning the lake, nice catch and report. O, thanks for the picture before someone started something!!![]()
