    Jigs look very good! For me I would use is Spring and Summer, but I too like Kip tail in cooler water. Squirrel tail too!

    I tie a smaller version using rubber hackle that I use year around. The lures are very effect catching fish in their neutral feeding mode.

    These three are my go to lures during the hard water season. (1/64,1/32, and 1/16 once) Usually they can be fished bare bones; if scent is needed then I add 1/2 of a power nibble or 1/4 of a piece of a power wiggler.
    Due to their size they make a good finesse lure in cold water and when fish are in their neutral feeding mode.

    Thanks, I just started this summer. I only have a couple hundred under my belt so far. Still have a lot to learn and struggle at times to keep them uniform from one jig to the next but I'll get there.
