to leave BR and about an hour or so later launch the boat, ride for ten minutes, stop the engine then look, smell, and listen because you are in an incredible place to enjoy creation. Now that's a piece of cake! I love to go alone and sometimes I bring along friends and family to share this beauty. Friday I did just that and brought my son in law and my 12 year old grandson to Verret. Kept 12 released 20. Two biggest were 1lb 6 oz and the rest were all nice slabs. That my friends........ Is the icing!

We launched at Corne P.S. Fished Grand Bayou almost to the lake. Tight line the Grey ghost 4 to 5' around deep logs. Surface color was milky with a pretty good current. The fish hit hard and fought hard but the bite only lasted about an hour. After an hour or so slack time it was back on again. Same pattern several times. Windy and cold morning too. During slack time my grandson would just lay on the back deck looking in the live well grinning. Much fun.
Great day indeed. Congratulations!
