Thank you all so much for the prayers, I feel like they have been answered. Her regular eye doctor in Tupelo found this hole in her eye and told her that it had to be fixed right away and if we waited longer it would get worse etc. Anyway that had her and me pretty shook up this week. We went to the Retina Institute in Germantown today and they checked her out and did some scans etc. The expert retina surgeon told us that if she could cope with it that it would be best not to do anything and that it would not get any worse. He said that that tissue and membranes was very fragile and older you are the more so. He said it could be repaired but that it would probably not improve it. He also said at her age etc. it was a high risk of the retina detaching during that surgery which in that case the eye would be gone. It only bothers her first thirty minutes or so when she gets up in the morning....when she reads the paper some letter are either missing or only half there.....after she has been up awhile this goes away. So she can still read, watch tv, drive and function. We will go back in four months and do another scan just to check and compare to see if its all still the same. He also told her not to get new glasses with new prescription that they would only magnify the problem. He told her to use her old prescription if she wanted new glasses. Anyway she did the driving this morning and even drove us home with her eyes dialated and did just fine. She was happy with his recommendation to just leave it alone so that's where we are at. Again thank you very much for all the prayers, and texts etc. My C.C family is awsum.
