    Default Something new..

I know this is not a Crappie jig but The old interweb taught me something new today how to add flash to rabbit so I came up with this jig .. This is tied on a #1 steelehead /salmon jig if I tie it again it will be on a # 2 ..

Little bit heavy I do believe thats a 3/16- 1/4 oz head with a #1 mustad owner Xtra heavy .. Set the hook on a crappie with that jig and you will reel in nothing but the lipps !!! LOL

It will punch through the heavy surface weeds shallow too. I would fish it!

Appreciate your analogy but you couldn't be further from the truth. The cold months in TN i vertical jigged with 1/4oz brushguard heads with size 1 and 2 hooks. I'm sure the steelhead hook is a heavier shank but put that jig in the right place and you'll get the thump of a lifetime. The thump I got were like someone tapping the rod with a stick.
