    Default Lake Ashby kayak report

Spent a few hours on Lake Ashby this morning. Scattered bites but did manage a few keeper size. Waiting on the cold...

There was a great bite there last year. Hoping for the same this year.

Thanks for the report, been a few yrs since fishing Ashby...is the grade any better on the launch? A local told me there was a massive fish kill years back, would be great if that lake bounced back. Very impressive walk bridge built on that north east end.

I've never fished Ashby. I need a throw around boat or a Kayak. Tried to talk someone out of a canoe today but it didn't happen

I don't have any issues with the ramp and I have a Palm Beach 18'6. I thought the bass fishing was pretty good last year and the spec bite was great. The Lilly-pad fields have grown tremendously and they did spray it this year. Not sure how the spray affects the forage fish that may have some impact on the spec bite.
