Thread: Monticello 12-13-15

Finally made another trip for catfish! Weather was nice with a little wind. We took 2 boats & 4 fishermen. I dropped anchors & fished on the bottom in several places with little to show. Marked a lot of bait & fish between 45 to 65 but we only caught 10 blues. All small.

The other boat drifted with cut bait dragging the bottom in 25 to 45'. They caught 9 cats with the largest around 15 lbs.

Charles, may not be what you wanted but at least you were catching some. My partner from work caught a big channel cat yesterday on a crank bait 35 pounds on Wylie. He was looking for bass and got a big surprise. LOL But that's how it goes right! Thanks for the report.
