When you make S turns does it make the crankbaits on the outside run deeper?

And if so does that mean the crappie are so deep the Bandit crankbaits will just barely reach them?

The crappie I'm catching on jigs are 16' deep and deeper, I'm surprised the crankbaits are still producing for you.

When you make the S turns the baits on the inside of the turn will be as if you quit pulling they will slow down and even rise depending on how big of turn... on the outside the baits will speed up and depending on speed can dive deeper. Take note to which side to indicate preferred speed
I can dredge the bottom in 16 foot no problem

also caught them this year in January with the water temp just over 50
