River has a lot of drift in it here in the Meldahl/Maysville area. I was gonna go this morning but fog & drift is a bad combination.

That looks like a solid 13.5-14" crappie.

I went yesterday for about 4 hours to my favorite creek and did about the same. Biggest was about 12" and half dozen were 10.5"+. However, majority were dinks. That seems like what it's become : 10 or more dinks then 1 real good fish, repeat. Still, I'll wade through the dinks to have a chance at a giant.

Did really well yesterday back in the creek. They are stacked up on the heavy brush in deeper water. Most of the fish were caught 6-8' down in 11-15' water.

My dad and I caught about 50 between us. Many dinks but the largest amount of nice ones (11.5+) that we have in a while. Caught a number of them close to 12". My largest was 13" and my dad caught a 14" shown below. A couple of others said they weren't doing good. I think maybe they were just fishing too fast. The water was in the upper 40s and seems to have come up a degree or two but the bite was still pretty slow. Funny thing was that I caught them on everything. We literally tied off right on top of them and fished straight down. After I caught one on a Bobby Garland, I couldn't catch another. Tied on a smaller popeye jig, then a Lake Fork, etc, etc. Once they'd seen it, they didn't want it. The largest was caught on a minnow but most of the big ones came on jigs.

I have stomped fish the past few days..... I've got them deep and shallow.... Yesterday took a friend that I don't get to take very often... We had a ball prolly 75? Or so crappie but lots of those little... Still a blast.. Headed out early this morning just got back home... Taking wife and kid to zoo for lights... Found fish shallow today... Got some 11-12" whites but once again a Ton of small ones... I ain't complaining it's been great. Caught this little black nose today also.

I've caught 1 blacknose out of the creek this year. He was small. Interestingly enough, this summer I went and fished pool #2 on the Kentucky River. Really did not do that well. Caught a lot of smaller bass but only 4 crappie. Of those 4 crappie, 3 were blacknose. The largest around 11". They must be really prevalent on certain bodies of water.
