I haven't been but it should have clear up by now, Beaverdam creek is probably still very muddy. Water is at 555 right now so it's near full summer pool. It will drop a foot or so by Friday, but will still be high for winter time.

Ditch..if you had to chose between beaver dam or limestone which one? I'm sort of new to area and new to crappie fish..actually if never caught one without a guide...lil..strange but the truth..transferring from a saltwater fisherman.
You're going to have a hard time in Limestone for another week. If we don't get too much rain from this next system we should be good the following weekend. Beaverdam Creek muddies fast and takes longer to clear up, I don't fish it much till spring. The cool thing is muddy water warms faster on sunny days, so Crappie will move into Beaverdam to spawn earlier then Limestone in the spring.
I'll post Saturday afternoon when I get back, but I'm trying something a little different this weekend. I expect things to be challenging on Wheeler for another week.
Outside the channel markers Limestone can be an expensive place to fish. There are plenty of stumps to ruin a lower unit. It can also be difficult to launch and load fishing by yourself if the wind is blowing because there isn't a dock. And the wind seems to always blow there.
