It has been a while since I last fished Chickamauga lake for crappie. I have been deer hunting a little bit, fished a crappie tx on Tellico and have been fishing for White bass and Stripers instead of crappie fishing. I just had to get a fix today. Couldn't find anyone that could go with me today, so I did a little bit of solo fishing. Grin.
I wanted to try a new lure that I had Crappie Dawg lures create for me. I named it Rainbow Dawg and the crappie do seem to like it. I kept 9 keepers for the table today and released all the rest of the fish that I caught. The only other lure that I fished with that caught any fish was a Bobby Garland Mo-Glo Blue Ghost on a 1/16 oz jig head. The Rainbow dawg was fished on a 1/24 oz jig head and fished slowly. The fish were on bluffs and off shore brush.

Life is good. Fishing is better.
Nice catch and nice looking baits.
Good looking baits. The one kinda looks like Bobby Garland patriot, which has worked for me. Nice fish.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Sounds like a good trip. Nice looking bait

Bill, I have been over to Tims a couple of times in the past 6 weeks or so. We did catch a couple of little smallies and a few crappie the last time over. That new lure that I had custom made will be a killer at Tims, I'll bet. I had them made just for fishing for crappie over there. I'll bet the smallies will eat it up too if I use a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig head.
They sure have the water pulled down. There must be 50' of mud between the shore and the water.
