Crank baits are a nightmare loose in a tackle box. I never pick up less than 6 at a time. A real anal friend of mine wrapped his hooks in tin foil to keep them separate. I decided I just was not going to that much trouble.
Then I saw this and just spent the last hour fixing mine. So far they are 95% tangle free. Every now and then I got maybe two that got hooked but they fell apart easily.
Will see how it holds up.

LOL I didn't put mine in a jar either but I was skeptical so I tried it and danged if it doesn't seem to work. I use cranks sporadically but Friday I wanted to tie on a top water Striper plug in case we ran into a school and it took me 5 minutes to untangle 5 or 6 of my baits so this came on the heels of dealing with that. I bought about 2 dozen of the Arkies when Walmart out them on sale for about $2 and Lordy they were a tangled mess in my box. This really seemed to eliminate most all of the tangles.
Only thing to be concerned about is if they sit a long time in the sun, the rubber bands may melt and stick to the plugs.
